This project aims to commemorate, remember and honor, the 50th anniversary of Pablo Picasso, next year, April 8, 2023, the everlasting light of the greatest artist of the 20th century, and one of the greatest artists of all time, Pablo Picasso. . And this collected in a (MACRO – BOOK – ICONIC – TRIBUTE AND TRIBUTE TO PABLO PICASSO), on the 50th anniversary since he left, April 8, 1973. Entitled – GUERNICA – THE MOST FAMOUS AND CONTROVERSIAL PAINTING OF THE 20TH CENTURY

As is known, Pablo Picasso’s most relevant iconic masterpiece is (GUERNICA) and at the same time, I consider it to be the most important, famous and controversial work of the 20th century, hence the title of the ICONIC-MACRO-BOOK. The Guernica painting shows the terror, death and barbarism of war, and at the same time is an evocation of peace. As is known, the work is based on the bombing that the German aviation, the Condor Legion, carried out in Guernica on April 26, 1937, dropping more than 30 tons of bombs and leaving 75% of it totally devastated. It is made according to stylistic analysis, mainly in cubist style, surrealist, expressionist and monochrome African influence, which accentuates the violence and tragedy represented. The Spanish Pavilion, designed by Josep Lluís Sert and designed by Josep Lluís Sert and Luis Lacasa (located on Avenida del Trocadero), the Spanish pavilion, was not inaugurated until July 12, since Picasso painted it in 5 weeks from May 1, 1937, to June 4, 1937, and both Guernica like Picasso, they became a symbol of the Spanish exile.

And all this, thanks to the two letters that Picasso sent to the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the first on November 14, 1970, and the second on April 14, 1971. As well as the two letters from Jacqueline Picasso issued regarding Picasso’s will once is deceased, on the final fate of Guernica, one dated April 27, 1977 and another dated March 6, 1980, plus the existence of another 19 remaining documents, included in this project, which have been issued between the different institutions, up to definitively achieve the return and arrival in Spain of the work, on the Iberia 952 flight of the Jumbo plane, called ( Lope de Vega ), which left John F. Kennedy airport in New York on Wednesday, September 9 and arrived at Spain to Barajas airport at 8 and 27 minutes in the morning, on Thursday, September 10, 1981, ignoring both the 319 passengers and the 19 crew members, except for the flight commander Juan Lopéz Durán, of the valuable cargo they were transporting. GUERNICA by Pablo Picasso. Undoubtedly the maximum pictorial expression not only of the work of Picasso, but as it is recognized, of all the pictorial art of the 20th century.

EXTERIOR DESIGN AND COMPOSITION: OF THE FRAME-BOOK

The MACRO-BOOK is designed, all of it (front, back cover, spine and sheets), with all the studies that Picasso previously carried out. I have made these in gold and silver, combining at the same time, the terror that studies express, with the symbols of peace, harmony and union, which Picasso immortalized.

CONTENT:

The MACRO-BOOK, is not a book written to use. It is a kind of Chest, in the shape of a book. It contains everything that has been related to the play Guernica through time. Due to discretion and delicate content, it will not be detailed, given the amount of documentation. And as you know, everything that cannot be seen cannot be described in words.

ORNAMENTATION:

The MACRO-BOOK is made of 24-karat gold, 999.999 pure silver. Amber with brilliant cut diamonds, as a reflection of the sun and the everlasting light of Picasso. opals the creative stone, precious stone of artists and ivory, due to the African influence that since 1907 everything changed, and marked a beginning and revolution in his work, and the world of painting, and where clearly Picasso executes with great mastery that African influence in Guernica. It has a weight of more than 60 kilos with all the components.

PERFORMANCE

The execution of this MACRO-BOOK, has begun in the year 2018 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Pablo Picasso, on April 8, 2023, this project has taken about 10,800 hours so far, of hard and passionate work of design, both exterior in its composition and ornamentation, and in all its valuable documentary, interior content.

As previously stated, it is a unique, singular and unrepeatable work, and its intellectual property is duly protected.
